Lycus Ltd. provided MAXGARD® 1888 is an effective light stabilizer for protecting water-based and cosmetic products from the damaging UV radiation which is a component of natural sunlight. In cosmetics/perfumes, the stability is improved. It stabilizes colors in various applications. It has a very broad absorption band which extends into the UV-B range. It is soluble at 5% in water thus finding application as a UV absorber in cosmetics, hair care products, textiles, and water-based paints and inks to protect product color, fragrance and to protect the polymer that gives gel its structure.
