Our company began operations in 1988 as Garrison Industries,
a privately held custom chemical and toll manufacturer. In 1994, the company
changed its strategic direction and focused on production of proprietary
benzophenones and diphenylacrylates for the UV stabilizer market. Within three years the company developed its
line of MAXGARD® UV stabilizers using proprietary technology.
In July, 2000, Garrison Industries was acquired by Edgewater
Capital and renamed Lycus, Ltd. The company further expanded its focus on chemical
synthesis and contract manufacturing requiring difficult-to-handle reagents.
In May, 2004, as part of the strategic growth plan of
Edgewater to expand its presence in halogen chemistry, fine and performance
chemicals and custom synthesis, Lycus became an operating division of Syrgis Performance Products.
Lycus, Ltd. maintains offices and modern chemical production
facilities in El Dorado, Arkansas. We are proud of our highly
